churchThe hamlet of Almer lies to the north of the busy A31, from where the church can be glimpsed beyond an attractive pond.  This is a bit of a mixture, but has its origins in the C11.

There is a C14 tower and north aisle, an early C18 nave with some classic windows on the south side of the same period, almost certainly by the Bastard brothers of Blandford Forum fame, while the north side is bounded by an arcade of three, mid C12 bays.  The chancel is a Victorian rebuild. Note, there are some good examples of family pews.  The font is C13.
